Description
Arobas Music Guitar Pro 8 is a software program available on Windows and Mac OS that allows all musicians to read, write and share their tablatures. The world leader in tablature editing, Guitar Pro has been downloaded over 15 million times worldwide since 1997.
The software is compatible with many instruments such as guitar, drums, bass, piano, ukulele and many others! You can make tablatures for each instrument, scroll the music score, write your music and use many pedagogical tools such as a chord dictionary or a scale library. Transposition features are also available to easily transcribe your songs from one instrument to another.
Guitar Pro Adapts To All Your Needs
Whether you’re a music teacher, a transcriber, a composer, a songwriter, a tablature book editor, a solo musician or in a band, Guitar Pro adapts to all your needs, and saves you precious time in making progress on the guitar or any other instrument.
The Guitar Pro software suite is also available as a mobile application compatible with iOS and Android. You can thus use your tablature player or your tabbing application on all your devices: computer, tablet or smartphone.
Customize Your Score
Based on the classic or jazz styles, you can set 70 different parameters, configure the layout of your scores exactly as you wish, and get professional-level paper printouts.
Create Multitrack Scores
The multitrack edition allows you to create music scores with dozens of instruments: guitar, bass, drums, piano, voice, strings, brass and many more.
Chords
Ask any chord and Guitar Pro will display all possible positions on the fretboard. Draw a diagram by clicking on the chord grid and see all matching names.
Scales
View and listen many scales from the most common to the most exotic ones. The selected scale can be displayed on the fretboard or piano to help you compose your song, write a solo or melody line.
Lyrics
Easily enter the lyrics of your songs and arrange them at bottom of your vocal track. You can also add annotations to point riffs or solos out that might need some extra explanation for being played properly.
Polyphonic Tuner
The polyphonic tuner allows you to tune your guitar by plugging it into your sound card or via a microphone.
Virtual Instruments
Virtual instruments let you view and enter musical notes from a graphical representation of your instrument. It can display notes of the current time, the notes of the current bar or of the selected scale. Intuitive and easy to use, it is an ideal tool for beginners or tablature notation fans.

Jonny –
I also was pleasantly surprised with the scales feature and fretboard view. I’m using this to write a more robust arrangement of some simple arrangements I already own. I’m sure this will only use a small part of what this software offers, but for the price, it’s definitely worth it.
Greg –
Still my favorite way to learn and write new music, as well as practice scales and creating backing tracks for when I play by myself.
Charles –
It’s super easy to compose any and everything you want.
James –
Guitar Pro 8 has been more than useful. I spend more time on Guitar Pro than I spend playing the bass to be honest.
Chuck –
It’s also good for anyone else who uses other instruments like banjo ukulele or bass guitar.
