Description

Blue Cat’s PatchWork is a universal plug-ins patchbay and multi-effects tool. It can host up to 64 VST, VST3, Audio Unit, or built-in plug-ins within a single instance. It supports both serial and parallel routing, allowing users to chain effects in series or create up to 8 parallel chains that can be activated independently. This enables the creation of complex effects or instrument configurations that can be saved as presets and shared across different DAWs. The software’s routing is configured via a simple matrix, and plug-ins can communicate using virtual MIDI ports.

Overview

For each plug-in slot, PatchWork includes features like latency compensation, presets management, undo/redo, audio I/O selection, and individual bypass. It also stores plug-in window positions. Sub-plug-ins can be automate or controlled via external surfaces. The product is available as an audio plug-in (effect or instrument) and a standalone application, supporting up to 16 audio channels. It also includes input and output level meters to monitor the signal.
