Description

Blue Cat’s Plug’n Script is an audio and MIDI scripting plugin that allows users to create custom effects and virtual instruments within their DAW. It is designed for both beginners with limited programming knowledge and experienced developers. The plugin can also be used as a regular multi-effects processor with its existing scripts. Experienced programmers can use it as a powerful development environment to quickly prototype algorithms, generate a GUI, and export a VST, VST3, AAX, or Audio Unit plug-in.

Overview

The plugin uses the high-performance AngelScript scripting engine with a JIT compiler for optimal performance. Version 2 and later also support native code, allowing users to load binary scripts built from C, C++, or other languages. The AngelScript language syntax is similar to C++ or JavaScript, making it easy to learn and integrate code snippets. The plugin includes dozens of audio and MIDI processing scripts, virtual instruments, and utilities that can be used as is or as examples for creating new scripts. Users can share their scripts in the scripts repository.
