Description

Nithonat is a fully synthesized drum machine based on the classic 606. Its sound has been used in genres like Electro, Hip-Hop, R&B, and Pop. D16 re-created this legend with virtual perfection and added essential features exclusive to Nithonat.

The original 606 had only a volume parameter. Nithonat adds extra controls to each sound, allowing for a wider spectrum of sounds, including rumbling kicks, barky snares, and unique toms and hi-hats. For the first time, the full potential of the 606 is explorable.

One Of A Kind

Nithonat was design from the ground up with a special synthesis. Its unique hi-hat and cymbal sounds are due to the emulation of the original circuits. The bass drum has a strong punch and unparalleled attack, and the snare sounds sandy. These attributes ensure that Nithonat is a unique instrument with an old-school feel.

Proudly Different

Nithonat was designed as a standalone instrument in its own right, not just a 1-to-1 emulator. Its synthesis is special, even compared to other D16 offerings. The characteristic hi-hats and cymbals come from emulating the original circuits. Exclusive parameters like ‘Tune’, ‘Attack’, and ‘Decay’ for the bass drum and ‘Tune’, ‘Tone’, and ‘Snappy’ for the snare enhance the sound, making it suitable for various genres.

Beauty In Flexibility

Nithonat has a powerful built-in internal sequencer with a clean, intuitive GUI. It can also function as a sound module, with all sounds and functions controllable via your host DAW. Its operation is similar to D16’s other instruments, making it easy to use for existing customers.
