Description

Hollywood Fantasy Brass offers the grandeur of some of history’s most iconic brass instruments, complete with a broad articulation set and true legato for maximum realism and authenticity. It includes everything expected from the Hollywood series multiple mic positions, custom effect chains, and lush ambiences but with a collection of brass instruments used in famous fantasy scores. Using these specific instruments can provide the missing element when trying to recreate the feel of favorite fantasy scores.

Instead of standard trumpets and French horns, you’ll find flugelhorns, Wagner tubas and alpenhorns. This results in a majesty that modern orchestras can’t quite replicate, yet with the power demanded by current movies and games. Each core instrument is recorded in ensembles of 3 for a more cinematic quality than solo instruments. Recorded in the same soundstage as the acclaimed Hollywood Orchestra, it provides a cohesive sound between all elements, making it suitable for bold fanfares, sonorous melodies, or rich, mellow tones to evoke mystique.

• Individual control over the level and pan of four separate mic positions: Close, Mid, Main, and Surround, providing full control over the sound’s dimension.
• 3 Wagner Tubas: A cross between a French horn and a trombone, used in famous scores like Star Wars IV: A New Hope and The Lord of the Rings, effortlessly evoking fantastic worlds.
• 3 Flugelhorns: Majestic, mellow brass suitable for fanfares and “royal” settings, adding a fantastical character to scores.
• 3 Alpenhorns: Known for its uniquely mellow and hollow sound, it serves as a great mellow horn melody, especially alongside the flugelhorns.
• 3 Brass Trombones, 2 Cimbassos, 1 Tuba: A powerhouse section of select low brass to fill out the low end and achieve a growling, dark intensity.
