M-Tron Pro IV is the digital emulation of the classic Mellotron M400, a tape-based keyboard used by artists like The Beatles and Led Zeppelin. M-Tron Pro IV introduces new features to enhance the user experience. The fully scalable UI and powerful Preset and Tape Browsers allow easy navigation through over 800 presets. New functionalities like Undo, Redo, Copy, and Paste simplify editing, and the keyboard range has been extended by seven semitones. Authentic tape playback is simulated with the new Tape Wow and Flutter feature, while amp simulation adds warmth. The software now includes an alternative state-variable filter, an ensemble effect, LFO shaping, and a matrix reverb. Expanded Poly Aftertouch and Velocity controls offer enhanced playability and expressiveness.

Craft Hybrid Patches And Perform

M-Tron Pro offers 35 individually sampled notes and a new extended keyboard mode. It supports dual-layer and split-keyboard operation, as well as MIDI Learn. The software provides extensive control, including tape-based effects like wow, flutter, reverse, and half speed. It also features amp simulation, ensemble, delay, and reverb effects; multimode filters; LFO controls for pitch, pan, level, or filter; and envelope and performance controls. All of this functionality allows for the creation of unique dual-layer hybrid patches. M-Tron Pro can also operate as a standalone application, making it convenient for live performance with a MIDI controller.
