Description
The original Novation Bass Station, released in 1993, is celebrated for its raw, punchy, and analogue sound, distinguishing itself during a time dominated by digital synthesizers. The Novation Bass Station by GForce remains sonically faithful but is extensively enhanced with polyphony, unison modes, a modern sequencer, and expanded modulation capabilities via the advanced X-LFO and X-ADSR, adding unprecedented depth and flexibility.
How Was It Augmented?
The Novation Bass Station by GForce blends vintage charm with modern possibilities through key enhancements:
- Enhanced Signal Path: Retains the authentic tones while adding new waveforms, a sub OSC, FM, noise, LFO sync & retrig, discreet key tracking for the $24$dB filter, additional mod sources, pan spread, vintage knob and more.
- Polyphony Up To 16 Voices And Unison: Adds polyphony and mono unison, unlike the monophonic original.
- X-Modifier: Enables direct modulation of most parameters for unparalleled creative sound transformation, with a scope showing the sum of the modulation.
- High Pass Filter: Allows for more precise frequency control for cleaner mixes and intricate sound design.
- Distortion, Chorus, Delay, And Reverb Effects: Integrated effects expand the sonic palette for lush and dynamic soundscapes.
- Two Versatile Macros: Provide real-time control over key parameters for expressive performance and sound customization, which can be modulate by the sequencer.
- Built-In Arpeggiator And Modern Sequencer: Simplify the creation of dynamic rhythmic and melodic patterns. The sequencer includes individual step length, velocity, slide, swing, accent, probability, two Macro tracks, arp chords, scales, and extensive randomisation options.
- Advanced Patch Browser: Allows quick finding and customization of sounds from a vast preset library.
