Description

Oddity3 is a rebuilt and enhanced software synthesizer based on the classic ARP Odyssey. It improves upon its predecessors, Oddity and Oddity2, by maintaining the fundamental architecture while extending its sonic capabilities. The new version features an improved audio engine, a powerful Preset Browser, over 250 new presets, and new Distortion and Reverb effects. It also includes a Vintage control for adding analog imperfections, four programmable Macros, and new performance controls. The user interface has three new, fully scalable designs.

A Classic Synth For The 21st Century

With the core sound of the original hardware, Oddity3 gives a classic synth a new life. It features authentic models of all three original filters, two syncable oscillators, an accurate recreation of the ring modulator, and AR and ADSR envelopes. The synth has been enhanced over the years with monophonic and polyphonic playability, a tunable sub oscillator, X-Modifier technology, onboard effects, and voice panning. Oddity3 adds a new Preset Browser, expanded performance controls with programmable Macros, Velocity and Polyphonic Aftertouch, a Vintage knob, and new Distortion and Reverb effects, making it suitable for a modern setup.

X-Modifiers – A Sound Design Playground

Oddity3 uses unique X-Modifier technology, which provides a unique LFO and Envelope for nearly every parameter. This allows users to create complex sounds while maintaining the synth’s authentic tone and character, taking the classic sound into new realms of possibility.

From Pretty To Gritty

Oddity3 can produce both beautiful, soft pads and gritty, aggressive sounds. It retains the raw, edgy character of the original hardware with its raw oscillators, gritty filters, screeching hardsync, and gnarly ring mod circuit. The new distortion circuit allows for further sound manipulation, and the Vintage control lets users dial in authentic analog inaccuracies.

Inspiration At The Speed Of Sound

The new preset browser in Oddity3 allows users to organize sounds with extensive tagging, sorting, and search capabilities. The synth includes over 2000 presets: more than 250 new presets from GForce sound designers, over 1750 legacy presets from Oddity and Oddity2 (all tagged for easy navigation), and 66 presets recreated from original patch books.
