Description

n-Track Studio 10 is a digital audio workstation (DAW) with new features designed to enhance music production. It offers tools for slicing samples, customizing effects, and creating soundscapes.

New In Version 10

Sampler: The new version introduces melodic, drum, multilayer, and slicer samplers, providing tools to shape sound and create unique melodies, beats, and textures.

Chains: Users can now save and recall presets for groups of instruments and effects, allowing them to craft a unique sonic signature.

Tools: The new effects, Shimmer and Diffuser are designed to create otherworldly reverberations and intricate, immersive soundscapes.

Browser: The new Song Browser streamlines file management, making it easier to reload previously saved songs without interrupting the creative flow.

Recording & Mixing

The software records and plays back a virtually unlimited number of audio and MIDI tracks. It supports VST, VST3, DirectX (Windows), AU (Mac), and ReWire effects. Users can automate parameters like volume, pan, and effects. Live input processing allows for real-time signal processing while recording the dry signal for later reprocessing.

Effects

n-Track Studio 10 includes a wide range of built-in effects such as AutoFilter, Compressor, EQ, Reverb, Shimmer, and more. It also supports third-party DirectX, VST 2.x, VST 3, and ReWire plug-ins. The software works with VST and AU Instruments, sending MIDI tracks to software or hardware synths, and supports ReWire technology for real-time mixing with other programs.

Supported Formats

The software imports and exports various audio formats, including .wav, .mp3, .ogg, and .flac. It supports EDL multitrack song files for exchange with other programs and can sync with external devices using SMPTE/MTC or MIDI Clock. It also supports surround mixing and allows users to play videos in sync with a song. After recording, all tracks can be mixed down into a single WAV file for CD burning or MP3 distribution.

Soundcards & Audio Interfaces

n-Track Studio 10 is compatible with 16 and 24-bit soundcards at sampling frequencies up to 192 KHz. It works with common audio drivers like ASIO, WaveRT, and MME, ensuring low latency. It supports multichannel soundcards, allowing for simultaneous multitrack recording and output to multiple stereo outputs.
