Description

Uprights and EPs is a collection of 11 vintage electric and upright pianos. We sampled these instruments with unique techniques, such as hammering strings, adding felt to the upright, and using overhead mics on electric keys. The collection includes Fender Rhodes, Wurlitzer 200A, Yamaha CP 70-B & CP-30, and three different upright pianos. These instruments were recorded in real spaces with tube preamps and various microphones, capturing their unique character. The product contains 11 sounds, sampled on every single note at 3-5 unique velocities. You can use them as solo instruments or blend them to create new hybrid tones. A customizable arpeggiator, AHDSR, a filter, and three custom LFOs (Gain, Pitch, and Filter) give these sounds the functionality of a synthesizer. The sound can be further crafted with five onboard effects.

Uniquely Sampled

Many sampled instruments on the market aim to replicate a brand new instrument. We wanted something different, embracing the grit, fretbuzz, and the subtle clank of the hammer on the string, as well as the imperfections and vibrations. We did not skip any notes during sampling, ensuring the full sonic integrity of each key. Our plugins, including Uprights and EPs, bring unique sound combinations while staying true to the organic nature of each instrument.

Creative Layer Options

Stacking these organic tones on top of each other creates incredibly fresh combinations. Each sound layer can be used as a solo instrument or blended in infinite configurations to create new hybrid tones.
