Description
Introducing Wurlitzer by Rhodes. A faithful and deeply musical recreation of the famed 200A. Brought to life by the creators behind the acclaimed Rhodes Anthology. The first officially Wurlitzer-endorsed digital recreation of the legendary reed piano. “It is the most faithful recreation yet. The finest Wurlitzer plug-in, one that truly captures the soul of the instrument”. Wurlitzer.
Expertly sampled by Rhodes’ world-class sound designers, the Wurlitzer by Rhodes captures every nuance of the famous reed-based electric piano. Creating an instrument built for players, producers and purists who crave authentic tone and ultimate playability.
Released in 1974, the iconic Wurlitzer 200A quickly became a studio staple, celebrated for its compact design, versatility and unmistakable tone. Its distinctive, bright, clear voice can be heard across legendary records throughout history, from Joni Mitchell’s Court and Spark, Pink Floyd’s Have a Cigar, and Elton John’s Bennie and the Jets. Built on the same powerful engine and interface design as Rhodes Anthology, the Wurlitzer by Rhodes interface blends classic dials and retro-LEDs with the same high-quality preamp and FX modules synonymous with Rhodes software instruments.
The Wurlitzer by Rhodes features a stunningly authentic emulation of the original mono vibrato circuit, a popular part of the piano’s identity. Meticulously modelled and full of analogue warmth, the vibrato breathes vintage soul into every note. Immerse yourself in the warmth, grit, and timeless tone of a true original, as the legendary reed piano comes to life at your fingertips.
