Description

Claro is a comprehensive EQ plug-in designed to assist in the music production process from composition to final mix. It helps users blend tracks into a clear and balanced mix by providing three distinct views that offer progressively deeper insight and precision. The plug-in is intuitive and helps users make informed musical decisions to prevent “mud, clutter, or harshness.”

How Does Claro Benefit You?

Claro is designed for a “Vibe first, detail later” approach, with its three views helping to build EQ intuition without interrupting creative flow. The plug-in identifies problematic masking while also showing how some masking can positively contribute to a sound’s thickness and presence. Claro also highlights resonant peaks, allowing users to choose which ones to attenuate. The interface uses familiar terms like ‘Mud’ and ‘Harshness’ alongside Hz and displays a piano keyboard to allow users to work musically by setting EQ bands to specific notes.

Three Distinct Views

Claro features three views to accelerate workflow:

Produce view: A fast, creative EQ that focuses on broad moves to inspire musical creativity. It features **Tone** mode for shaping overall energy and **Width** mode for Mid-Side EQ adjustments to clean up stereo sounds or create space for vocals.

Tweak view: Offers more correctional possibilities with flexible filters. Its adaptive real-time analyzer helps to identify and highlight problematic resonances, eliminating the need for boosting and sweeping.

Mix view: Displays all Claro instances in a project, allowing users to explore interactions and address frequency collisions between competing tracks. It highlights masking areas and includes an “Invert EQ” function to apply corresponding boosts and cuts to tracks, reducing masking and giving each its own spectral space.

• Variable slopes on all band shapes, up to 120dB per octave for surgical work.
• Smooth, artifact-free automation.
• Auto Gain, which uniquely maintains consistent loudness regardless of EQ adjustments.
