Description
Effectrix2 is an advanced real-time audio manipulation tool featuring a grid-based interface with 14 high-quality effects. It allows producers and DJs to quickly add effects like time-stretching, looping, granular synthesis, and glitch effects to their tracks. The tool simplifies sound manipulation, eliminating the need for extensive automation.
The World Of Effectrix2
This software is based on a grid where users draw in effects. It includes features like Loopers for complex looping with time and pitch modulation, a Ring modulator for sci-fi sounds, Vinyl effect for scratches and tape stops, and a Spectrum effect for alien sounds. Other effects include a Grain engine for freezing and stretching audio, a Tonalizer for adding notes and chords, a Filter for sweeps, and effects like Phaser, Modulation (Chorus, Flanger), Delay, Reverb, and Level for various sound manipulations.
The Easy Take
Creating effects is simple: choose a sequence length and add steps to the grid. The tool allows for quick tasks like freezing a snare or rolling a hi-hat. Users can alienize vocals, apply tape stops, or turn simple loops into breakbeats. An extensive modulation system enables scripting every parameter, and the keyboard can be used to change effect and modulation sequences. The software comes with numerous presets and randomization options for endless inspiration.
Modulation Mastery
Effectrix2 offers a range of modulators that can be applied per step to create dynamic soundscapes. The From To modulator transitions a parameter from its current value to a target value. The Step Sequencer allows for per-step modulation with a smooth transition option. The Envelope Follower reacts to the audio signal’s amplitude, useful for effects like filter cutoff. Classic LFOs create rhythmic patterns, while the Steptrain is a special step sequencer for stutter effects.
Precision And Artful Surprises
The software features advanced mix blending modes and intelligent randomization options. Users can randomize the entire pattern, a single effect track, or effect parameters with three intensity levels: subtle, moderate, and total mayhem. The random modulator provides tempo and smoothness controls. The looping capabilities have been enhanced with features like swing, repeat patterns, and gradual pitch changes, showcasing the software’s potential for complex audio manipulation.
Step Into The Spotlight
Effectrix2 is a powerful tool for both studio production and live performance, allowing for real-time, low-latency sound transformation. Users can store up to 12 sequencer setups per preset and trigger them via MIDI or host automation. It is ideal for adding unique effects to vocals, pads, or any other instrument.
Sounds & Presets
The software includes over 300 handcrafted presets and encourages users to explore new musical territories. It offers the freedom to tweak beats, forge new rhythms, reverse segments, stretch elements, and apply delays, providing complete artistic control to create unique music and bend genres.
