Description

The Waves EMI TG12410 Transfer Console plugin is a detailed emulation of the iconic Abbey Road Studios mastering chain. It includes modern features and is designed in collaboration with Abbey Road. With modular Input, Tone, Compression/Limiting, Filter/EQ, and Output/Stereo Spread sections, it provides Abbey Road’s sonic character and control for masters, buses, groups, and individual tracks.

The TG desk has been used on timeless albums, and this plugin captures its special sound, proven over decades in the hands of top engineers.

Timeless Tone

It features a 4-band EQ with 5 curated frequencies per band for maximum musical impact. You can choose from low shelf, high shelf, or three bell shapes (wide, medium, or narrow) for each band.

Limiting Without Limits

In addition to the original Zener diode-based compressor and limiter, the plugin includes a modern, VCA-style compressor designed by Waves and Abbey Road.

First-Class Filters

The Filter module adds three gentle, tone-shaping filters: High Pass (4 frequencies), Low Pass (5 frequencies), and Presence (8 frequencies).

Extensive Input Options

The input section allows you to change balance, swap channels, apply historic tape EQs, flip phase, or change one channel’s phase relative to the other by 90 degrees to fix phase correlation issues.

Re-Order Your Chain

You can re-order all modules except input and output, allowing for custom chains. Modules can be collapsed to see fewer controls or expanded to adjust Left/Right or Mid/Sides separately.

Keep Everything In Phase

A modern feature is the addition of 3 bands of linear-phase sidechain filters to the compressor/limiter, which preserves the TG’s natural sound and the dynamics’ attack/release characteristics.

The Final Touch: Optimum Output

The output section features a stereo spread enhancer, and allows you to monitor your mix in left, right, stereo, summed to mono, mid, or sides.

Meter Your Masters With The Tg Meter Bridge

The bonus TG Meter Bridge plugin is a separate component that provides metering for all Abbey Road TG Mastering Chain instances in your session, showing VU, PPM, Phase, and Peak at a glance.
