Description

Zynaptiq UNMIX::DRUMS is an audio plugin that allows real-time boosting or attenuation of drums in mixed music. Using advanced source separation technology, it provides frequency-dependent drum level control, from up to +18dB of boost to nearly complete removal. It is design to enhance drum impact on a full mix or a drum bus. The plugin features an intuitive multi-level GUI, a sample-accurate sub-bass resynthesizer, a high-precision analyzer, M/S operation, and an output limiter, making it useful for mastering, music production, and for remixers and DJs.

Impact Shaping

UNMIX::DRUMS can be use on a drum buss as well as a full mix. The frequency-dependent drum level adjustment, controlled with a breakpoint editor, allows for shaping the impact and punch of drums without using a compressor or transient processor, even within a full mix. This process, referred to as impact equalization, is design to enhance drum presence effectively.

The plugin offers two boost modes: Smooth and Punchy.

Workflow Monster

UNMIX::DRUMS includes a sample-accurate sub-bass (re)synthesizer. This feature allows users to add clean, low-frequency energy to their music by simply adjusting a slider. It avoids level instabilities, false triggers, or phase cancellation, making it simple to either subtly extend the frequency range of a jazz master or create powerful club beats.

The plugin has an intuitive 3-way Graphical User Interface (GUI) that only shows necessary parameters to avoid clutter.

Important Notes: An iLok account or iLok 2/3-based activation is necessary in order to register this product. An internet connection is required for software activation. The older, first-generation iLok is not supported!

Copy Protection

Zynaptiq products use the latest PACE copy protection, which allows you to place your activation on your machine or on an iLok 2* (not included). You will need a free iLok.com account to use our software, even for the demos – but you do not necessarily need the iLok 2 dongle if your machine has internet access (activation of a system without internet connectivity requires an iLok 2 device). All required software is installed along with our plugins, but we generally recommend downloading the latest versions directly from iLok.com.

CPU Load

While they are highly optimized, Zynaptiq plugins use a LOT of CPU due to the complex nature of the magic they perform. Please use the free trial to evaluate whether your system has sufficient resources to utilize the software effectively! Zynaptiq recommends setting your playback buffer size to at least 512 or ideally 1024 samples for optimum performance. As Zynaptiq plugins sport unique features not found in any other software, Zynaptiq highly recommends reading the User Manuals to ensure that you get the most out of them!
