Description
Restoration Suite 2 is a suite of four advanced audio restoration and noise reduction plug-ins, available as VST, VST3, or AAX for Windows and Mac, and AU for Mac. It offers both 32 and 64-bit versions for Windows, while the Mac version is 64-bit and runs natively on ARM and Intel processors.
DeNoise
DeNoise reduces hiss, wind noise, and buzz. It offers an adaptive mode or a noise profile mode. Version 2 introduces dynamic noise profiles to capture noise that fluctuates, like wind, improving reduction and reducing artifacts. It captures statistics from the noise to set a suitable noise threshold.
DeHum
DeHum targets hum and buzz from electrical equipment. Version 2 has an improved detection algorithm with a new “Scan” button to automatically fine-tune the fundamental hum frequency. It also supports Mid/Side (M/S) processing to reduce stereo image fluctuations.
DeClick
DeClick removes impulsive noise such as clicks, crackle, and thumps from sources like vinyl records or digital drop-outs. The improved algorithm is less likely to reduce attacks and transients. Version 2 includes Mid/Side (M/S) processing and enhanced core algorithms. It’s also effective on vocal plosives.
DeClip
DeClip restores audio recordings distorted by analog or digital clipping with an improved algorithm.
