Description

Augmented Strings Intro is a hybrid soundtrack for the modern age, combining quality string libraries with synthesis. It offers a new way to create fresh string sounds, moving beyond conventional libraries and orchestral timbres. This tool is designed for composers, producers, and sound designers to effortlessly control an enhanced hybrid ensemble.

Combine Authentic With Abstract

Each preset in Augmented Strings Intro has two layers, combining string samples with virtual analog, wavetable, harmonic, and granular synthesis. The result is a palette of immersive, orchestral, and cinematic sounds.

Morphing Power

The Morph control provides a unique and evolving sound with a single click. It allows you to transform between Layers A and B and adjust up to 8 parameters per preset, all with one control, unlocking a huge sonic territory.

Transform Sound Instantly

A streamlined set of macro controls allows for dramatic real-time changes. These macros intelligently alter multiple parameters, offering perfect dynamics and variety for your sounds.

Sampling

Augmented Strings Intro includes a sample library recorded to be as delicate and expressive as a real ensemble. It features 22 musicians, with solo and ensemble performances, and over 60 articulations across double bass, cello, viola, and violin. The recordings were captured with high-quality microphones in various positions, ensuring lifelike detail and energy.

Synthesis

The instrument features four synth engines: Virtual Analog, Granular, Wavetable, and Harmonic. Inspired by the architecture of Pigments and V Collection, these engines offer responsive and tactile sounds from retro to futuristic. They provide everything from destructive sub-bass to digital pads, designed to enhance and modernize string textures.
