Description

Blue Cat’s MB-5 Dynamix is a powerful all-in-one multiband dynamics processor. It can be used as a multiband compressor, limiter, gate, expander, or waveshaper, on any part of the spectrum. The dynamics processing section from Blue Cat’s Dynamics is integrated here to process each of the 5 bands separately. The plugin has unique envelope detection capabilities, allowing one band to trigger the dynamics response on others (internal side-chain). Combined with advanced stereo features like mid/side processing and independent channel activation, it provides full control over the signal’s dynamics.

A brick wall limiter/clipper protects the output. The plugin provides comprehensive visual feedback on the spectrum, in/out levels, dynamics response, and compression ratio for each band. The user interface is designed to be easy to use with inter-band controls like copy/paste and link. Thanks to advanced MIDI and automation output, it can be used for advanced side-chaining, controlling other plugins with the dynamics processing output.
