Description

Unveil is a real-time, de-mixing-based plug-in for attenuating or boosting reverb and modifying its characteristics in a mixed signal. It works on any channel count, including mono. The plug-in can also bring key features of a recording into focus or move them to the background by adjusting perceptually less important signal components. Based on proprietary, AI-driven MAP (Mixed-Signal Audio Processing) technology, Unveil can fix unusable audio, tighten live recordings, remove reverb and “mud” from music, and be used for creative sound design.

Good Bye, Reverb

Removing reverb from recordings has historically been difficult. Unveil addresses this by using a model of the human auditory system to identify reverb and separate it for processing. It is not a dynamics processor, spectral thresholding tool, or a phase cancellation technique. This allows it to work with any channel count from mono to surround and without altering signal dynamics. Reducing reverb is as simple as adjusting a slider.

Conversely, Unveil can also increase reverb in a recording. It can transform a close-miked drum kit into a room-heavy sound, move a sound back in the sound stage, or match the reverb of different recordings.

Unveil’s algorithm processes signal components that the human auditory system deems insignificant, including what is often called “mud”.

Important Notes: An iLok account or iLok 2/3-base activation is require in order to register this product. An internet connection is necessary for software activation. The older, first-generation iLok is not supported!

Copy Protection

Zynaptiq products use the latest PACE copy protection, which allows you to place your activation on your machine or on an iLok 2* (not included). You will need a free iLok.com account to use our software, even for the demos – but you do not necessarily need the iLok 2 dongle if your machine has internet access (activation of a system without internet connectivity requires an iLok 2 device). All required software is installed along with our plugins, but we generally recommend downloading the latest versions directly from iLok.com.

CPU Load

While they are highly optimized, Zynaptiq plugins use a LOT of CPU due to the complex nature of the magic they perform. Please use the free trial to evaluate whether your system has sufficient resources to utilize the software effectively! Zynaptiq recommends setting your playback buffer size to at least 512 or ideally 1024 samples for optimum performance. As Zynaptiq plugins sport unique features not found in any other software, Zynaptiq highly recommends reading the User Manuals to ensure that you get the most out of them!
